| DuCap Volunteer | OUR MISSION STATEMENT: "To provide a process which empowers local residents, organized as Community Committees, to take action aimed at encouraging youth to make positive choices." The DuPage County Area Project, or DuCAP for short, is a
private, chartered, Illinois Not-For-Profit Corporation. It is a not a
county agency; it is a non-sectarian, non-political organization of
public-spirited volunteers and staff who give of their time and resources
to assist community groups in various parts of DuPage County to develop
and to sponsor efforts aimed at preventing juvenile delinquency, keeping
the community strong and keeping the community's youth out of
trouble.DuCAP is affiliated with Illinois Council of Area Projects (ICAP). ICAP is a network of 27 community programs around the state of Illinois. Together we serve all of the state's major metropolitan areas, and 80 counties, while reaching over 100,000 individuals statewide. The key to our success is driven by voluntarism, donations and our dedicated staff, without these components, our community centers could not succeed. If you would like to become involved and make a difference in your community, contact Program Director Jimmy Barber from the contact information below. *** Volunteering Looks Great on a Resume *** Ready to Make a Difference?
